Community Building
One Valentine's Day, we sent letters with positive affirmations to at-risk youth, as a reminder to everyone that this day is about more than romantic love. We celebrated el dia del amor y la amistad in its truest sense.
We spent an afternoon with the permaculture team, learning about sustainability and co-existence in our ecosystem.
We maintain close relationships with our education partners at the local public schools. Our fifth and sixth graders prepared a lesson plan and presented it to a group of 9-11 year olds as a shared activity
We learn cultural traditions from our nearby communities every chance we get
